1) This weekend’s games are a great opportunity for our coaches to learn more about their team and can teach their players the great game of soccer. While it can be tempting to coach your child from the sideline, please leave that job to your coach. We want this to be a positive experience for our players so please encourage and cheer for them!

2)  Weather. We are closely monitoring tomorrow’s weather forecast. At this time, we are planning to play as scheduled. We do play in rain. We will clear the fields if lightning strikes within 10 miles and will stay off for 30 minutes after the last strike within that radius. If that happens, game times and lengths could be changed. If there are any changes or field closings, we will let everyone know by 7:30 AM through your coach, our website, and social media.

3) No Referee Abuse. Yelling and harassing our referees will not be tolerated. There is absolutely no reason to speak to the referees. If this happens, you will be asked to leave the field and will be subject to our Disciplinary Committee. If an issue arises that needs to be addressed, please talk to your coach after the game.

4) Leave your dogs at home. While dogs are allowed at the Pepper Creek Trail and on the frisbee disk golf course, they are not allowed at the athletic facilities, not even the friendly ones. If you still choose to bring your dog, you will be asked to leave it in your car or take it home.

Currently, Centex Storm’s volunteer staff is organizing the registered players into teams. Once all the coach’s are recruited, we will hold a coach meeting. Rosters are not distributed to the coaches until after the coach meeting, so players won’t hear from their coaches until later in February. On Saturday, March 2nd, please check-in at the Crossroads Soccer Complex snack bar, fifteen minutes prior to your session. Dress the child to participate in soccer, with shin guards inside the socks.  A full uniform will be issued at that time. Boy’s session starts at 8:30 a.m. and Girl’s session at 9:30 a.m. on March 2nd, A professional coach teaches each training session/game.  There are no weeknight practices.  See you Saturday, March 2nd.

We are excited about the upcoming spring season! Thank you to those that have already signed up. If you are still interested in playing and have not completed your registration, please do so now as registration will close Friday, February 2, 2024. We still have a few weeks before practices will start (late February), but it’s time to get your equipment ready. Now’s a good time to make sure you have soccer cleats, shin guards and a soccer ball. While you are working on your gear, our volunteer Centex Storm staff is sorting through the registrations, making teams, and assigning coaches. We want everyone to have the opportunity to play but sometimes that is limited to the number of coaches we have. If you are interested in coaching or have questions about coaching, please reach out to registrar@centexstorm.com. 

As soon as the teams and coaches are assigned, coaches will begin to contact players (mid- February). Your coach will tell you your practice times, practice locations, and game schedule (when it becomes available).
